New Delhi: Actor-model Milind Soman is one of the first names that come to mind when one thinks of a celebrity who is also a fitness icon for the youth. The Made in India fame is known for embracing all forms of workouts alike for fitness with running being his favourite among all. From running marathons with his model wife Ankita Konwar to now going for a sprint in Alexandria, Egypt, while vacationing with his better half – Soman does it all. In a recent post, the 56-year-old is seen sharing a glimpse of his fitness regime that does not seem to have taken a backseat even while off to another to take a break.
In a recent Instagram Reel video, Milind Soman is seen stretching his legs and going for a short run on a beach in Alexandria – a Mediterranean port city. He was as usual seen running barefoot right at the start of the day to give it a healthy start.

“Very very short run in Alexandria, just to stretch the legs! Egypt is beautiful, the people are amazing and I can’t imagine what it would be like if the ancient Pharaonic culture was alive today. Mind boggling,” he captioned the video.

What are the health benefits of running?

Running is one of the best cardiovascular workouts that burn several calories in a limited timeframe. On the one hand, running with shoes on takes a lot of effort but it is still simpler as there is no resistance. However, running barefoot on the beach with sand under the feet requires way more effort due to resistance. It strengthens the smaller muscles and core thereby improving overall athletic performance.
